Engaged by Guaranteed Rate for Sox Fest, I led the creation of advertising materials with the theme “Welcome Home.” As a former collegiate baseball player, my unique perspective contributed to the project. Faced with restrictions on using the official Sox logo, I curated imagery from Guaranteed Rate’s collection where the logo was present.
The design focused on simplicity, aiming for visual appeal and self-explanation. High-quality images from past events, featuring fans and players, were integrated with the Guaranteed Rate logo. Consistency in color, fonts, and a carefully crafted tagline reinforced the theme.
Social media engagement strategies, including a designated hashtag, enhanced community participation. The event schedule was designed for clarity, highlighting key activities and player appearances. Printed materials, visually appealing and informative, served as comprehensive guides.
In summary, my design approach, combining creativity and strategic thinking, aimed to elevate the promotion of Sox Fest, resonate with fans, and contribute to a memorable event experience.
Working within the project’s parameters allowed me to enhance my leadership skills with larger teams and manage tight deadlines effectively. The experience was truly enjoyable, and seeing my work showcased on a substantial platform was incredibly fulfilling from a designer’s perspective.
